She studied journalism at the Universidad Autonoma of Barcelona. She has worked with video, photography, sculpture, sound, and performance. Her work focuses on the different aspects of the body: physical, territorial, and politic in the context of Western culture. Past work includes an examination of North American boxing through photography and installation elements such as mirrors and rocking chairs — in “Night Flight” (Barcelona, 1999), “Playa Girón” (Valencia, 2001), and “La Escuela Cubana de Boxeo” (The Cuban School of Boxing, 2001) — and visceral commentary through sculpture and large-scale painting in “Torched and Scorched” (New York, 2015).
