Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur: A.P.E.R.O. / P.A.C.A., 1984. Wolf Vostell. First edition. Paperback. 8vo. 252pp, Illus. b&w photos. Cover by Wolf Vostell. This festival, organized by A.P.E.R.O./P.A.C.A. and T. Julian Blaine, celebrating historical and contemporary Avant-garde, took place in Cogolin, France, a small town in Provence a few miles from Saint-Tropez. This is the catalog from the first of three international poetry festivals which took place there, dedicated to new literary work, with attention to historical Avant-garde and more recent experimentalism. Spread over a week, the Cogolin Festival documented, through the various avant-garde magazines involved, Banana Split, Doc(k)s, Manicle, and Skôria, the literary and artistic ferment of the countries bordering the Mediterranean and beyond. The catalog is divided into several parts, including an essay by Dick Higgins on Fluxus, and short sections on each of the participants including a portrait, a short biography, a bibliography and a sample of their work. A 12pg. "Exposition Fluxus Poesie" closes the catalog with samples of various Fluxus works. Near Fine / No dust jacket. Item #21212
